At IBIE 2025, I'll be moderating a panel of baking industry experts, and we'll be diving into the results of baking and snacks, state of the baking industry study conducted by Cypress Research. - What topic/trend does this session cover and why is it important?
- During this session, I'm going to be moderating a panel of baking industry experts as we take a look at the findings of baking and snacks, state of the baking industry study conducted by Cypress Research. This study is a comprehensive look at the baking industry, both the commercial side and retail, and it really gets to the heart of industry outlook, business challenges, and gives us a broad view of where the industry is today. This helps bakers see where their company stand in relationship to their peers as far as challenges and outlooks go. It can be really validating information to have, and it can give us an idea of what's ahead for the industry. We launched this study at IBIE 2022, so this will be the first IBIE that we have trending data available, and I'm really excited to see how the industry has changed in the last 3 years and what we can learn.
- What will attendees learn from this session?
- I really hope that IBIE 2025 attendees will walk away from this panel with a better understanding of how the baking industry, both sides of it, are doing in 2025. By looking at how things have changed over the past three years, I think we'll be able to get a sense of what could be ahead for the industry, such as what challenges are going to persist, as well as what opportunities might be on the horizon.
