- Why do you think you are the best candidate for National Treasurer?
- Good morning. My name is Chef Kyle Richardson and I'm running for a cf national Treasurer. We fell a little short in the last election as runner up, became very close. There is a ground support for having someone in there that can really come that knows the people. I have been a member since 1985. I have worked every position on the local level um, for my chapters and also spent eight years on the national board as a cf national secretary and a cf central region vice president. I come from a history of hotels, country clubs and restaurants, running businesses, which I have my own, um, retired out of the college as a culinary professor, teaching for over 25 years and I have taught the same things that we are doing now for years and years. I'm also the treasurer and have been the treasurer of two non for profit organizations and I'm still as president of the Chicago culinary museum and Chefs Hall of Fame. I am very qualified for this position, but it's not just for numbers, we don't need another accountant. We need someone that not only knows the business, knows the books, but also knows the people of A. C. F. The members have been on the ground level. We have a CFO, we don't need another one of those. What we need is someone that's going to be a part of the A. C. F. And help us get back to where we were. This is such a shame of why we are, where we're at now and once again finding ourselves in debt again after so many times of dragging ourselves out. It's a very critical time. It's a critical position because as treasurer, you are also a voting member of all the things that happened in a Cf. And without communication and without openness, there's no way we'll be able to proceed with this. We need to be open with the members about what it is that we are going through and what it is that we're losing, which is membership and revenue constantly. I will be a good treasurer and I've always been honest in here for the people and for ACF, been a member since 1985. So I'm asking for your vote. I'm asking for your trust. And let's see if we can get this back on the road. Thank you.
